So, judging by the rant I'm hearing and the reactions I'm reading on the web, I fail to see where the RIAA is being particularly soul sucking. They were going after some guy who died during the course of the lawsuit.

The RIAA heard about his demise and allowed 60 days for his estate to mourn and get its act together before resuming the lawsuit.

This apparently is generating all kinds of negative publicity and I've heard it claimed that they're dropping the lawsuit. I hope they don't. They feel a crime has been committed and -- however wrong they may be -- they're entitled to pursue that.

Lots of people seem to be making this out as the RIAA going after a dead guy instead of pursuing a suit filed before the guy died.
