Man, we have awesome friends.
Today was the day of the move. The Big Move. The one involving company-reimbursed movers swarming upon my residence and whisking everything away in a giant truck.
That followed by the backbreaking work of watching those poor bastards march up the steps with Very Heavy boxes(tm).
Actually -- we did have a bit of hustling to do. Mostly because today's Sunday and we neglected to note that the moving company wouldn't take a check.
Our solution? Get a bunch of friends to go to the ATM, pull out the maximum amount for a day in exchange for a check for that amount.
Somehow, a ton of people trusted me enough to do it and I really truly deeply appreciate those folk saving the day. And those who would've helped if they had any cash running around loose.
Let this be a lesson to you all -- Never do anything on Sunday. You never know when the service will demand a cashier's check or money order.
Anyway, we now live in the Lord of all Cardboard Forts. Our living room has been overrun by stacks of boxes to be sorted through in due time.
But for the moment, I'll enjoy living in the one serene, calm, mostly-cardboardless room in the house with the two kittens sprawled out on the floor. Tomorrow we declare war.
Or something like that -- all I know is that there are six year olds who would KILL to have a living room like this equipped with some flavor of projectile and pillows.
relsqui's going to put up pictures of the place and stuff. So...err...I'm going to let her do it. 8)
No problem Phil : ) You've helped me out in a pinch on many occasions.
man, that watching other people move your stuff sounds really fun. i've move so many times, but my parents never sprung for movers. jerks.

Well, it was REALLY freaking expensive. The only reason we could even consider it is that Phil's company is reimbursing him for it. Or possibly just for most of it, which would still be okay.
Video of box fort to be posted imminently!
It spoils you. I can't imagine ever moving myself ever again.
And I used to love helping other people move.
Your new place looks great! And so good to see you again Phil!! Aw, I miss you!
Whats your new address?
Did I fail to give you my new address?
