Why I hate Santa Cruz: It's full of people like this. A friend of mine (who I've since lost track of) once compared LA to Santa Cruz by saying that LA people are inundated with news. As a result, they stop caring. Santa Cruz people have to work to get the latest news. As a result, they care a lot. Especially if they don't know anything about it.

Devin -- where ever you are -- I couldn't agree more. It's almost like a lack of perspective and information are status points around here.
