Now here's some promising news!
Pointed out by thesaruswrex: Whee! Although admittedly, it could be a lot cooler. Lots of balls just disappear. =(
Some of you may know that I've wanted to teach for a while. Lately though, I've found I completely lack the ability to hold anyone's attention for any extended period of time.
And Georgie loses 10 minutes of her life staring at little blue balls.
Resist the urge, Phil
BTW: Saw Firefly & Serenity finally. Brilliant!
Didn't I tell you!??!?!? Didn't I tell you?!?!?!?
I'm actually a little irritated at Serenity. Kaylee is so my girl. I didn't OK this relationship with Simon business! ; )
He's just keeping her warm for you.
They really need to show Firefly in the UK - and why the HELL would they cancell it? Were they mad?
Screw watching it on the tele! Get the DVDs! 8)
The consensus, I believe, is that the show was too good for Fox. Is it a safe assumption that you know the series of injustices done to the series during its run?
I have no idea about the injustices. There was something mentioned on one of the pecial features, but nothing detailed.
I already bought the DVDs - for a whopping $17.99 (about $35). I guess I watched them as they were intended to be seen. Then straight to the cinema to see Serenity.
My TV comment was to let the masses in on it. No one over here knows about it really.
*sighs* Where to start...
For one thing, they showed the pilot...last. Where all the surprises are completely ruined. Fox made them show The Train Job first. They tried to do what they could to make it a pilot, but it falls well short of what the actual pilot does so well.
For another, they gave it a primetime slot competing with a bunch of established shows. As a result, it predictably didn't do well. Then they began moving it around, frequently and without warning, so no one really knew when it was on.
There's lots more, but those are the two biggest ones.

1) They're being sworn in on my birthday. XD What an awesome present. I don't think anyone saw that definitive a solution coming!
2) It's a little laggy on Podkayne but teh ball thingz is still fucking nuts. I love it.
3) I still don't think it has to do with the way you speak, love; you just tend to pick times and topics to explain things without consulting the people you would be instructing. Plus your sample group is me and Danny, and c'mon. :P
3) Well, if you really think it's a matter of sampling, then you and Danny could stand to be a bit nicer to the guy who's setting aside his own projects to tell you something while you half-listen.
I was telling you that you got hit with an anvil. Really. Freak accident. I tried to deflect it with my knuckles, but I couldn't help it. I even bloodied 'em a little.
Odd how the mark from the anvil is fist shaped...
(Ok, I give, I smiled, but I couldn't resist giving the hard sell about it)
There is a very interesting phenomenon at the heart of American fundamentalism. We'll wait for the war on Venezuela, I think.
