04:29 am Right now, I'm sitting in bed with my new iPAQ. It's using wireless. 8)

I knew some smartass was going to ask ; ) I just got the darn thing last night!
It is (for the moment) still running WinCE. Of course, its days are numbered. ooh.. that looks pretty!
Which one is it? and yes, what OS? It's an hx4700. It makes my first bluetooth appliance, my first PDA (assuming my Ti-89 which I half-compiled a distro for doesn't count), and only the second wireless client to connect at tilde.
It is temporarily running WinCE. Ah, so it IS the hot sexy one :)
That's a bit pricy though... Get it through work? I know people who have, but not I.
My mom sent it to me out of the blue. 8) Oh yeah, if you also had a bluetooth cellphone, you could have it connect to the net through that, and stream music from your home network wherever you are! :) (and when you're at home, have it detect the local lan and connect through that..)
yeah, I found this website about a guy who built a computer into his car with all that AND GPS to locate and map wireless nets it could hop on. It could stream audio and video from home, when the guy got anywhere close to the car with his bluetooth cellphone. Pretty rad. spcecdt had very similar plans for his before it got stolen. He had his doing GPS & navigation duties. He was working on IR to get it to sync up when he pulled his car into the driveway the last I heard.
I have no definite plans for mine yet. The navigation thing is definitely a plus and I'd like to get a GPS.
But we'll see 8) |
