Fashionable, but unable to tell fact from fiction

Today, we enjoyed the simple life. We woke up at 1-ish, played Escape from Monkey Island, ran to Jack's for a burger breakfast, went on to Game-A-Lot to pick up Illuminati and chips, zipped on to Borders, Bookshop Santa Cruz, and Logos for books (netting Animalia, Into the Green (thanks forestofglory), Eastern Standard Tribe, and a blank book for relsqui).

On the way back to the car, I thought I heard someone screaming my name. We disregarded it and went on to the car. Up the steps came koneko666's girlfriend and an old friend of relsqui's (It's very difficult to refer to people without LJs in identity neutral contexts).

So we hung out at the falafel place with them for a bit before heading home.

The rest of the day was occupied with Escape, followed by dinner, and watching Legend (which relsqui had never seen).

BTW: Tim Curry, Ridley Scott, Tom Cruise, and Robert Picardo before he became our favorite doctor...How can you POSSIBLY lose?

There's some more serious stuff on my mind. Among other things, I'd very much like to start a project that tackles something hopelessly large, finish it, and wait for hardware to catch up.

I need to get back into Ultimate. I got a bit sidetracked by an interesting tangent about generalized network protocols and file systems/formats. I'm somewhat back on track with a new thought about per-process adaptive scheduling.

I desperately need to create a community for this purpose. I think I will.
