I'm annoyed that when Koopa comes to take the Princess away, they don't say "Sorry Koopa but our princess is in another castle!"
From the 'Can't teach an old dog new tricks' department: I was again soundly defeated (though barely not skunked) by relsqui in cribbage. This time, I went through with her after every hand and went "What should I have done?"
She had no answers. She's either trying to keep her advantage or the universe is against me. ; ) Previous evidence (regarding backgammon) points to the latter.
I thought I was getting a free iPod this week. It was listed on craigslist, so I responded back quickly and got an email back saying "Yeah, come pick it up at $address-in-SF. It's all yours. Thanks for the fast response."
When making arrangements, I mailed relsqui's Mom who offered to pick it up. So I sent mail to both the iPod chick and mom. Then I got a response back saying "Sorry, it's been taken". I couldn't resist a return email saying "Errr...I thought it was mine?" which warranted a response including AOLisms and "bitch".
I sent her a copy of /usr/share/dict/words and said "Obviously, you need this more than I do."
I think lishd knows what I'm contemplating.
Lastly, for all you Logan-ites: http://l.armory.com:2602/lwjsc. Bandwidth is kinda tight because I don't want to kill the house net, but so far it's been alright, but I have vague plans to get my own line at some point in the future.
There's more crap involving work, my boss attempting to stress me out, and co-workers as stubborn as the day is long. I had a brief conversation with my boss discussing what really needs to be done in the future to which he disagreed (even to a diplomatic "Well, it's something to think about anyway") with "No. A decision's been made."
Glad to know my opinion's valued as an engineer. Well, at least it's just the startup's chance at life, and not the space shuttle. Times like this make me consider just who I'm working for and whether or not I want to continue working for them.
