Let's see what's what here.

Last night, we called Alice about the time we hit Hayward to see if we could get "Route 66" played. No such luck. It totally fit my driving mood right then, but oh well. It might've been played later that night (we got out of the car at 11:30 and whoever answered the phone said they'd try to squeeze it in before midnight).

Drove up here independent of stonesundial because our sleep-through-cell-phone-ring is strong. She seemed kinda annoyed at us last night. Probably because we had some non-zero amount of energy that didn't exactly match hers, and therefore, were marked as invading hordes to be defended against.

Went to the kite festival. Got to fly a Rev. That was fun. It's a good kite and if I had ~$150 to throw around, I'd get one in a heartbeat. Mmmm 4-lined goodness.

On the way back home, joeyclaren chose to inform me (twice) that there were diversions in place on traffic because there's elementary schools and crap around. And y'know. People drive too fast.

I was too nice to say anything then, but it seems painfully obvious to me that if a pedestrian is disposed of in the middle of the street, the problem is very likely not the driver. Sidewalks and schools are meant for frolicking children. Roads are meant for cars, aspiring pancakes, and natural selection.

It really is that simple.

I'm going to catch dinner. 8) Looking forward to Linuxworld & CA Extreme. Incidentally, I have a borrowed SCO shirt, so that should prove entertaining.

One other small note: We reunited with the last member of our fragmented puzzle pirates crew.
