04:12 pm I have a bunch to say about this: Bruce Sterling's Keynote. And I will, later.
I also have a bunch to say about the complete lack of suggestions for experiences that people I ought to have this year. Are you all so uninteresting that you can't summon up the idea of something that you thought was fun and think I should do at some point during this year?
I find that terribly hard to believe, so I'm assuming that you all have short attention spans and didn't want to bother reading all of my treatise. I can stomach that.
Seriously, I bore myself sometimes.
So here's the summary, you ADHD kids: I have just about all the material possessions I can stomach. Moreover, most of you don't have the expendable income to get me the things I would want. So what I want for St. Phil's day is for you to suggest an experience that I ought to have this year.
And, for as much as I dig you all, "come see me!" is terribly trite. You can do better than that. Suggestions like "Eat a BBQ Pork Sandwich at Interstate BBQ in Memphis" or "Go spelunking in Costa Rica" or "Volunteer time on a fossil expedition in Montana" would all be much better gifts to me.
I can't promise I'll do all of them, but suggestions are free, and it just might be the sort of thing I tell everyone about.

oh, i think i didn't read the whole post last time you asked for this. now it makes sense why i got an out for the whole skydiving thing.
that said, i suggest you take me & joe with you & girl to BALI. being there with us would be a REAL experience. you wanna talk about expendable income? expend it. :D All I remember about Bali from your description was a picture of gorthok's whale-tail. That is not an endorsement. ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/25307369/1087547) | From: | lishd |

huh? bali isn't in hawaii. For some reason, I remembered that being Bali, not Hawaii. I blame this on having thought too deeply about the knfg.
I'll consider it. 8) ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/94865904/870679) | From: | ebugle |

Drop dead =D
No, no, wait.
Um... you should go to work wearing post it notes only.
I don't care if you've been told to do that already, you still haven't done it =P Allow me a moment to praise your creativity. I'll be sure to remember to exercise that moment in case you ever do. ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/114382852/870679) | From: | ebugle |

Fine then!
Go out on the streets, stop random people, ask them where the nearest inter dimensional vortex is, look behind you, as if making sure you're not followed, then scream, panic, and run away shouting "they're coming to get me!" or some similarly cliche expression that'd fit the scenario.
Go into a burger joint, order 50 burgers, then hand them out to random people on the street. Bonus points if they're obviously homeless.
Rather than hand in a resignation notice, brand a cow with it and send the cow to your boss's house.
Plot your own murder.
Participate in a 24 hour event (game making, comic making, what have you)
Find a zoo that lets you feed tigers and do so.
This better? =D Go take a term of ballet classes.
Make out with jercos. As it happens, I've already done the former.
The latter will never, ever, ever, ever happen while I am able to stop it. Why not get us a souvenir from Puerto Rico? BUT WHAT IF YOU'VE ALREADY DONE MY SUGGESTION? Nightmare. I will think of something fabulous before St Phil's Day. ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/90193595/14520965) | From: | altoone |

| | Happy Birthday! | (Link) |
|
May I be the first to wish you a very happy birthday, my son. Go fly a kite, or start a business, or walk around town in disguise all day without getting arrested, or bake a pie, or get a (no, never mind), or go ice skating or fly to Vancouver or polish your toenails. But whatever you do, let it be a happy birthday. h a p p y b i r t h d a y was it you who told me you wanted to learn to play the bagpipes? or was it someone else . . . ? maybe you hate bagpipes. I hope not. When I think of something profound to suggest, I'll let you know. Dunno why the poemish format. Woof. Oh! I thought of two things: 1. sign up for a casual game test, they'll reward you with Best Buy $$ and a free game and it's fun 2. ride in a zeppelin That's all. I've done both, but not recently.
I like bagpipes. I've played with bagpipe bands, but I've never really had the desire to learn to play them. In general, I like them -- there's nothing like being surrounded by around 100 of them as they drone and start to play "Scotland the Brave". Welp The next thing that comes to mind is learning to drive a manual transmission. Practicing, really.
