My wonderful Meg kitty.

In other news -- Friday of last week, my van rolled over the 100k mark again. Only ~300mi on the odometer now 8)

Why I hate Santa Cruz: It's full of people like this. A friend of mine (who I've since lost track of) once compared LA to Santa Cruz by saying that LA people are inundated with news. As a result, they stop caring. Santa Cruz people have to work to get the latest news. As a result, they care a lot. Especially if they don't know anything about it.

Devin -- where ever you are -- I couldn't agree more. It's almost like a lack of perspective and information are status points around here.

Quote of the week (taken from that article):
"It's horrible we don't help other countries spread democracy and be as cool as we are," said Maureen Loomis, a junior, who objected to paying $45 for a sweatshirt made overseas.

I just heard a pun so positively delicious that I wish I could take credit for it. As a result, it's going to start a game night tradition. Every week at game night, I will tell a more elaborate than usual pun.

I got an amusing bit of praise today:
(17:22:06) georgie2032: you know, Phil - I love your LJ. Amonnst all the self-pitying tripe, you have linux bandwidth issues
(17:22:32) testing4l: I don't have that much self-pitying tripe.
(17:22:40) testing4l: At least, I try to steer clear of it.
(17:23:06) georgie2032: I was meaning the self pitying tripe I read in other LJs

So, lest I stand out too much -- transmission of a meme from just_aims:
Leave a comment and...
1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll pick a color that's associated with you.
4. I'll say something that makes sense only to you and me.
5. I'll tell you my first clearest memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this in your LJ (or not!).
