In other news, it's really strange when you see a girl you used to date on television.
. She's gone from art history to hairdressing to modelling to acting.
Not as pretty on the screen as she was in real life. I suspect her college years took a toll on her. I expected as much the last time I caught up with her.
This, arguably, is not as strange as seeing girls in your high school class in porn flicks. I didn't have that experience directly -- a friend of mine did and opened my eyes to it. That's also pretty weird.
If my various conversations with women have taught me anything, it's that they went for porn for very different reasons. I have it on fairly good authority that some of them sought a career in porn. When you have a great body, it doesn't seem a crime to my mind to use it to make money.
There's a certain ratio of Nina Hartleys to Linda Lovelaces that makes it hard to call the motivations which drive porn actors one way or another.
I have a major gripe with what you've said. Frankly, I cannot allow any friend of mine to continue to say something like you said in your comment.
Specifically, I'm taking issue with "Personally, I could care less what their motivations were."
I know it seems like an odd thing to care about, but I feel a need to go on a violent streak of blood, death, and vengeance in the name of everything rational when I see someone say "I could care less".
No, you couldn't. You couldn't care less. That's what you meant to say. If you could care less, then it wouldn't be saying particularly much. I could care less if we colonized space. In fact, I could care a lot less because I care so very much that mankind move on and colonize space.
I could NOT care less if a porn flick in zero g was made. Really, the thought does not generate even an iota of anticipation, excitement, disdain, concern, or the like. 8)
Feeble defense, if you ask me. It's rather fallacious to assume that if someone wastes breath on something, then they must care about it.

America's Most Wanted, no doubt?
Take notice, Google. I want to make an open offer to any ex-girlfriend in trouble with the law: I'll contribute to your defense fund. 8)
