I've been spending lots of time in a mostly non-internet zone of late. It's interesting and it puts various bits of online drama that other people insist on creating in perspective.

A few things have been occupying my time. Light reading of Marbury v. Madison (a Supreme Court case which is credited with establishing the practice of judicial review), the early days of the Civil War, and linguistics have been mixed with a couple of interesting books.

I refound my MR2OC forum account and started working on the car. The engine's had a rough idle that forces me to drop it in neutral when I'm at a stop for a long while. Jimmy's been helping me out with some of the diagnostics. Right now, I'm getting some misfires in the 6-7k RPM range. I suspect the fuel filter, but it's one of those things where the only way to find out for sure is to change it.

Thanks in large part to this, I've found that driving 17 in the shuttle is no less entertaining than it used to be. This morning, I beat out a Porsche Boxter, a Carrera S, and a Ferrari 949(!) on the way North.
In other fine news, the Sharks are in the playoffs which start tonight. I'm aiming to get tickets for two of the games.
