Oh yeah! Some good stuff happened too!

I finally got around to see Jonathan Coulton. He's been touring with Paul & Storm (formerly of Da Vinci's Notebook). It was at the Great American Music Hall which is a much smaller place than the name might suggest. The place was loaded with people who'd all heard of JoCo some way or other. There were a number of really cool things about the show. The lighting people seriously rocked. They sprung a couple of rapid light flashes during the fast part of this one song that totally added to it. Additionally, when JoCo sang "Re: Your Brains", they had green spots on him.

We bought every CD we could get our grubby little hands on and had them signed. Paul asked on stage if they could take us everywhere we went because we were such an awesome audience and again in person when he signed our CDs.

We mentioned to JoCo that we were "sent" by haplo3k and he stumbled for a moment over what term should be used for that. I mentioned "Haploids" to which he said "Ah! Perfect!" I'd thought that a long time ago because her nick reminded me of genes.

It was a really fun show and, under other circumstances, I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more.
