I haven't looked into this any farther than this necessarily biased account of events. However, it does make one wonder about whether or not this situation should arise in our justice system.

As it happens, this person is an acquaintance of mine. He's out on bail right now, though it took some convincing. He will soon be in a hearing for extradition to Louisiana for running an online betting site in Washington state. He purports that there is a difference between betting and gambling and in his description, I agree that what he is doing should not be something limited by law, especially given the claimed lack of legal agreements.

It certainly doesn't seem like something someone should be spirited away for a 27 hour period for against their will.

For now, I'm off to get a Gameboy Advance SP and tasty, tasty pizza.
