|10:52 am - So...about last night...|
Yes -- the unbelievable has happened.
I've let down Game Night 2x in a row.
However -- in some small way -- it was totally worth it because the three of us (relsqui, centaur, and yours truly) managed to get that arcade cabinet up two flights of steps.
I'm extremely sore and I still have that gnawing pain of hunger from my body saying "Dude, you used up a lot of calories and I'm going to start eating your brain if you don't drop some more in me."
That was a seriously superhuman effort by all involved. We were so tired afterwards that we put the cabinet in the worst possible place -- blocking the kitchen entirely -- and went out to eat and then crashed out.
The front panel needs to get screwed in again and we have to reattach all the connections. But as soon as we do -- *bam* X-Men in the building!
In addition, tonight I'm going to SF -- there's an Atari Jaguar with my name on it 8)
Meh, you guys still suck...but we managed game night anyway, and will see you next week! ( :
BTW, you missed the fun of my Star Trek Uno game getting stolen. Thanks to that, it was a gameless game night, but still worth the visit.

I hope you understand why I didn't reattach that front panel, I was so sore that moving hurt and I was afraid that getting in that box again might have been a very bad idea. You should have done what I did and had the most calorie filled meal afterwards imaginable. But it's all good as I figure Professor Xavier should be calling any day now as doing that seems proof to me that we must be mutants.
No sweat -- I got it all squared away. It earns me a label on the inside too, y'know?
Seriously though, thanks so much for your help. I'd still have X-Men in the van if it weren't for you 8)

I don't think I need to tell you how unbelievably cool you two are, and how that couch is looking better and better...
You don't *need* to. But every ego stroke helps. ; )
And the couch *is* really comfy.
