I was reminded of An Amazon review of The Story of Ping -- a story about a duck which the reviewer claims in jest is actually a reference for the ping utility -- used to test connectivity and response time in networks.
I emailed to the thread with suggested alternate past tenses for "ping" (pung, pought, pinged) and, on a side note, gave a link.
The response back from my boss:
I couldn't make sense of the lines below and don't have time to read what's at the link.
Can you summarize?
