Free advice: Never have your car stolen. It ends up costing you around $800 when you get the chance to go and pick it up -- even if the cops tell you there's no charge *and* put it in writing.

The shuttle is pretty worked over. Nothing to do for it but put it out of its misery.

Correction. I have to pay money to dispose of my stolen car.

I am literally paying money for no reason other than to stop them from making me pay them more money.

The game bag -- sadly -- is gone.

Actually, pretty much everything in the car was gone. Even the decade's worth of maps, notes, and scribblings that I'd accumulated in the driver's side door. The only stuff they left behind was the winch for the spare tire, half of the rear badge which fell off a while ago, a spare taillight bulb, two HT antennas, a wooden board, a rear rim for a bicycle, and a cheetos wrapper.

The bicycle rim and wrapper were apparently left by the thieves.
